Bible Study
At NGC, we believe that studying the word is vital to our spiritual growth. Without doing this we will continue to fall, and miss Gods mark. We believe that bible study is showing us that we can only do God, Gods way and not our way. We use the bible as Gods way of teaching how to live according to the scriptures and understanding the heart and the mind of God. We have interactive sessions, where members and visitors break down and discuss the word through different topics, learning how to apply it to our everyday lives. Our sessions run every Wednesday 19:00 - 20.30.

Prayer Meeting & Fasting
Wednesday is the designated day when Christian members of NGC, make a conscious decision to fast, in order to develop our relationship with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is a time to pray together for NGC's leaders, ministries, members; non - members requesting prayer; the surrounding community and city of Nottingham. It is also a time to read the Word of God (Holy Bible) together. The topic and chosen scriptures, can be found by following the link below. One or more these scriptures are read and discussed; as we encourage each other through personal testimony.

Prayer and Intercessory
The intercessory ministry is a group of NGC members who meet on Sunday morning to pray for the service, and all those who will be ministering that day as well as the congregation. Intercessors also receive prayer requests and are actively involved in “visiting ministry”, where we visit people who are sick and recovering from illness.

Praise & Worship and Music Department
Our vision for the year is for us to fulfil our purpose that God has given to us. We want to be Champions for Christ and raise the level of excellence in worship. We want God to stretch us in every way for his will. We believe He has chosen us to lead others to experience His presence and in order to do so we must consistently walk, talk, breathe and live a lifestyle of worship. Each time we minister together we want Gods people to experience Him like never before.
Being on praise and worship is a position none of us want to take for granted and it’s a great Honour for us to lead the congregation each week. We as a team are committed to being led each week by God’s mighty presence. We are very fortunate and blessed in NGC to have two worship teams the other currently known as the youth.

Sign Team
Signs From Above have been ministering together since 2006, with opportunities to share Gods word around the U.K. The ministry uses British Sign Language and Mime to convey the love, mercy and grace of God through song. Sharing in such a creative way has not only enabled people to find a new freedom of expression, but also allow the Christian community the opportunity to enter into an atmosphere of worship through the unity of music. Today the team aim to grow and develop in sharing who God is and why we need him to those far and wide, that we may all learn the goodness of God first hand.
-
Flag Dance Ministry
Jesus tells us that true worshipers will worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Wind of Worship are a creative arts ministry & we use a variety of flags & banners as a tool for divine worship. We believe that worship is so much more than just a song or particular act and can be expressed to God in many ways with the most important aspect being that it comes from the heart. As simply as we are able to communicate our feelings to the Father through prayer, we are also able to express our heart to Him through the use of worship flags & banners & in doing so we are not just representing a visual expression of worship but a deeper sentiment of ushering others into the presence of God.
Outreach
-
Evangelism
The Evangelism Ministry are a team that travel to different parts of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire sharing the love of God. We pray for people, encourage them, give out tracts & Bibles. We have recently introduced a prison ministry where members of the team go into prisons to encourage others to come to the faith. We have seen many people blessed by the work we do and are continuing to pray for the city to become a city of true believers in Christ.
-
Outreach
Here at NGC we practice 'love in action', we are constantly seeking out ways to demonstrate love to our members, visitors and our local community. Our vision is to be recognised widely as an 'open door' ministry which functions as an integral part of our community, both winning souls for Christ and meeting needs of those most vulnerable and hopeless in our society.
It is clear through many bible teachings that as followers of Jesus Christ we must practice serving others as an essential way of life, this comes through the conviction of his unconditional love for us and the undeserving Grace we receive through Salvation.
-
Baptism
Baptism symbolises the end of an old way of living, and a new start. When you get baptised it is a testimony to God and people that you, by faith, will live a new life as an overcomer. At NGC we are blessed to have our own built in baptism pool. Before a baptism takes place we hold baptism classes. In our baptism classes, we cover three main topics. Redemption - what the word redemption means, why we’re redeemed and why we believe in the blood of Jesus. Repentance - gaining a clear understanding that if we have repented and turned to God that God will receive us. Finally, baptism - so people have a very clear understanding on what they are about to do.

Guest Services
Guest services ministry is all about sharing the love of God and making people feel welcome whether it’s their first time visiting NGC or just a friendly greeting to friends, family or members of the church.
We feel first impressions count and we want everyone to feel apart of this church. Guest services are also on hand to share the weekly announcements within church and conduct a special welcome so that all our members of NGC can greet any new visitors.
-
Ushering
The ministry of ushering is a vital part of NGC. We represent the church in a very visible way, help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as assist with the smooth operation within the service. We strive to serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men (Ephesians 6:7). Church ushers are a significant part of NGC's hospitality system and fulfil specific duties to accomplish the role.
-
Community Hub
The New Generation Community Hub (NGCH) was founded out of church projects from the New Generation Church in 2012, but is now a distinct entity, with its own bank account and policies. The project’s run by the Community Hub are inspired by the faith of many of the members. NGCH, pride ourselves on working with the whole community to meet needs in all areas of their lives. Our aims are to; reduce isolation, encourage community cohesion and develop the health & wellbeing of the wider community in a safe and friendly environment.
-
Community Circles
The purpose of community circles is to bring people from a local community together to share their skills, talents, gifts and resources. This idea is based upon the premise that ALL of us need three things in our lives to make us happy and fulfilled: these are money, friendship and meaning. We believe that everyone needs community, everyone needs to be heard and everyone needs to have fun.
