Prepared For Battle
Have you ever lived through a time in your life, when you found yourself on the winning team? As a child on sports day, or in class? At work on a team building course? In a competition of sorts? Playing a family game at home, in teams?
Doesn’t it feel fantastic! Up lifted! Exhilarated! Confident! Euphoric! Calm! Excited!
When we know who we are (as a follower of Jesus; aka, a Christian) and we know whose we are? (citizens of God’s Kingdom) you will find that you do not have to find extra money to fund an army to defend our country, as the present Prime Minster does. Why, because as a citizen of God’s Kingdom, you will begin training, to fight in the battles you will face in life. No matter your gender or age. (Isaiah 54:13) (Exodus 14: 14)
To be prepared for any battle, we must:
Listen for and hear the voice of God. (e.g. 2 Samuel 5: 17 – 19)
Obey the voice of God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit as they work together as ONE. (e.g. Judges:
11 – 27)
Know who your enemy is: (Ephesians 6: 12)
Follow God’s instructions, down to the dotted “I” and crossed “T.” (2 Samuel 5: 24)
Be Patient with God. (1 Samuel 14;36 -37) (1 Samuel 15;10 – 23)
Wear and use your God given armour and weapons well. (Ephesians 6; 11)
During your prayer time, pray the above points into existence for yourself, and the
Christian /Church family.
