Are Christians built to recover our community for Christ?
In the late 1800's Methodist Hymn writer, F Crosby, was writing amazing songs of comfort and praise; songs such as Blessed Assurance and How Great Though Art.
That even to this day are loved by so many Christians all over the world.
But then Crosby began to understand that Methodist discovered that the work of God was for the church to reach out to others to help and guide people be restored back to God. Those that live on the edge of our communities that often through no fault of their own are just barely surviving, estranged from their families, misused, exploited, imprisoned, sick and in need of care support, understanding & God's love.
F.Crosby then wrote one of the most profound & important songs. This song clarifies our roles & and responsibilities, our higher calling in Christ Jesus.
This song is ringing out alarm bells to get our attention to pursue the heart of God, his purpose for sending his Son Jesus, to Save the world from sin and it's problems & that crucially Father God has a place in Heaven prepared for us and eternal life.
'Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save'. By F.Crosby
You see Christians are built for this work because, we understand that we, too, were perishing in sin until Jesus saved us from dying without him.
Therefore, our priority jobs are;

. Remember that God has given each of us his Holy Bible for instructions and guidance his/our Superbook.
. Every skill, quality creative abilities that we possess are needed to achieve the work of God together to win souls for him and assist them in restoring hope, love, peace and family back into lives that was once perishing & alone.
