What has God said to you lately?
Have you ever felt it in your soul, that you were to do something (good of course) but you procrastinated?
You know that the Lord has asked to you pray for a particular person; or you were to do something, but you chose not to. Then you see someone else do the very same thing the Lord had asked you to do. You realise, that you were hearing form the Lord, but it was now too late. God decided to use someone who trusts Him, heard Him, and was ready to obey Him.
God would never ask anyone to do something that was against His Divine character. When I used to go to church with the rest of my family, sometimes the Lord would ask me to wear a particular colour that evening. I would wrestle with the thought and decide to wear a different colour. When I get in the car to go, either my sister or my mother would be wearing the colour, I chose to wear. I soon learnt, that if I refused to do something God wanted me to do, and chose not to, He would go to the next available believer, whose heart and soul was ready to do/obey.
God does not always tell us the cause of what He has asked us to do. “A cause is something that produces an event or condition; an effect is what results from an event or condition.” (writing for success) All I know is that when you trust and obey God, it brings about an effect. (a result from the action taken) Only God knows just how important/good that effect is. We will find out, after, we have done what He asked/guided us to do. (cause)
In 2 KINGS 7: 1-20, we read about a king’s office, who had placed a limit on Almighty God. He did not believe God was going to do, what He said He would do, through His prophet Elisha. Long story short, the officer missed the fulfilment of the prophecy. (Spoiler alert! you will have to read it to find out how.)
During this season in the UK, the price of food and fuel have rocketed. Those who were struggling prior to the present day inflation, may be struggling even more. But God is faithful! David said, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25. If you are struggling to make ends meet talk to your Heavenly Father about it; but also check out the NGC website, to obtain a food parcel, for you or anyone you know is in need.

Bible Verse:
2 Kings 7:5 – 6: “And they (four leprous men) rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses – the noise of a great army” .....
