Lord Of The Breakthrough
2 Sam 5:20
In January 2023. I asked the Lord what was on his mind for his people for this year? His reply was; 'don't stop believing in God'.
Woww I was amazed and excited that God had actually replied. But when I studied the message, I realised that it could possibly be a warning from God, that there may be troubled times a head that could really challenge our faith in him.
King David's throne and his life was challenged several times by the Pilistines when they heard that David had become the king of Israel. Each time this happened King David sort God's advise and waited for his response and help. Because God gave King David victory, he did not forget to thank God naming the place of victory- 'Master/God of the breakthrough'.
As God's people we too can have problems that seem too big for us to solve on our own, having to wait on God for our breakthrough can often impact our faith, can also cause doubt and we even may be tempted to get help from other sources that can bring further problems.
But you see, 'with God's help, we can do mighty things', Psalms 60:12 Staying with God makes the difference.
When we are moving towards our breakthrough, what should this look like?
Perhaps communication with God via prayer & praise can be top of our list.
You see we can asked God for strength and patience to endure in this season of hardship. If you are going through the hardest season of your life, there will be an end to it. Amen. Our master of the breakthrough is with us. Continue to read about him in the Bible, he has steadfast love for us and will help resolve our problems. Rev Trevor wrote one the most encouraging songs I know. Hope you will love it and it helps you along too;
