Christ Is My Firm Foundation
1 Cor. 3.11.
For other foundation can no man lay than, that is laid, which is Christ Jesus. KJV.
For no one is empowered to lay an alternative foundation other than the good foundation that exists which is Jesus Christ. TPT.
Unmovable, unshakeable, unchangeable, unbreakable, steadfast and undeniably sure, is Jesus as our firm foundation. Before the existence of time and from the beginning, (Gen 1.1 ) a plan was established in the heavenlies from the throne room of God, from the life established within his breath, that mankind should be given a sure foundation, that would be capable of reconciling them back into their first estate as created beings, as Adam was, in the beginning, Pure, Undefiled and Holy. Father created mankind, both male and female, he created Eve from his son Adam. (Luke 3.38) and called them in his heart very good. God is very good and mankind was created in the image and likeness of their eternal father. (Gen.1.27) (Gen. 1.31.) An agreement was made in heaven before the foundation of the world, that a person of the Godhead be ordained as a sacrifice, (1Pet 1.19-20) to guarantee the success of this plan – to restore mankind (us) back to be seated with him in heavenly places. (Eph. 2. 6-7)
The manifested foundation to endorse this agreement was found in Christ Jesus, the lamb slain before the foundation of the world, our atonement (Roms. 5.11, 18). All of creation exists within him, and all was birthed from out of him, seeing that he was called Emanuel, interpreted God with us. (Matt. 1. 23 This is the firm foundation that stops our feet from falling, stops our hearts from fainting (Heb. 12.3) and elevates us into the glory of God, the glory of his presence and the glory of his truth, which speaks, that God so loved the world that his only begotten son was sent as a firm foundation, (John 3.16) established to free us from the law of sin and death, (Roms 8.2) that we might through hearing (Roms. 10.7) learn of this, through faith, know and understand this, and by truth, live as kings, priests, sons and daughters, established in the love and goodness of our God that leads us to true repentance (Roms. 2.4). Seeing now that our life is built on such a great foundation as Jesus, the living word who has made us one, (1 cor. 6.17) we are requested to put off the old and be reset in the new (Eph. 4. 22-24). ‘Behold I will do a new thing’ (Isaiah 43.19). We were once established as a wilderness, a waste land, but now we no longer are a dry place, or a wasteland, for out of us now flows streams of living waters. This new thing has now come forth through Christ our firm foundation, our pillar of truth, our chief cornerstone ( Eph. 2.20). His desire is that we build our lives in him, and on his words. (Jude 1.20). With Christ as our firm foundation we become steadfast, unmovable, unchangeable, unshakeable, unbreakable and undeniably sure. So also becomes our salvation. Through him we are instructed to continue to work out our own salvation (Phil. 2.12).
There is no doubt that when we build on him, we become his true reflection in the earth, his true temple, his true house, his true church, the church which he has built, that shall always prevail (Matt. 16.18)
