How To Promote Peace In Your Life
Isaiah 9:6 Introduces us to the “Prince of Peace,” who is none other than only begotten Son of God; Jesus the Christ. The Son of God who was given to us; who carries the government of God, on His shoulder; whose names is includes Wonderful; Counsellor, Mighty God and Everlasting Father.
We can promote the kind of peace that Jesus leaves with us and gives to us. The kind of peace that is different from peace that is normally found in this tangible world.
First of all, the peace that Jesus offers is found: when we focus on obeying God’s promises.( Genesis 21:7)
2. When we obey God’s word (“ Chronicle 14: 1-6
3. When we quickly make peace with others. (Matthew 5: 25-26)
4. When we allow the Holy Spirit to bring us peace. (John 14: 27)
When we receive the peace that the Prince of Peace offers us, we will find that it does not necessarily mean it is a time to rest, but you may have to work at it. Peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is a virtue; a state of mind, dispositionand confidence, that the Prince of Peace gives to us to live in. Peace is active, not passive. It also helps to affect our decisions; as well as guard our hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus- the Prince of Peace. It will cause others to look and you and wonder about this peace you demonstrate, that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4: 7)
During your prayer and fasting this week:
• invite the Prince of Peace into your life and situations.
• Read your Bible and let the Word of God give you comfort and guidance.
• Pray that your church family will also desire and experience that peace that comes from the Holy Trinity, through Jesus the Prince of Peace.
