Give The LORD Your Broken Pieces.
Genesis 4 : 1 -7 tells us about two brothers who each brought a sacrifice to the LORD, according to their own skills and heart.
Thousands of years later, the ultimate sacrifice was given to the LORD/GOD, to redeem us once and for all, for the sins mankind has committed. The other day, I was thanking
Jesus for dying on the cross of Calvary for my sins; and that I didn’t have to go shopping for a white dove, of a lamb or any other animal, to take to the nearest temple, to give as a sacrifice for my sins; and my family members sins. (Job 1: 5)
Now let’s fast forward to the 21st century. GOD desires that we willingly sacrifice/ give to
Him, our broken spirit. GOD finds pleasure in:
1.the person who comes obediently to Him. (an action carried out from the mind, heart, and soul of the person. (The heart- the person’s inner being. The Seat of affections, our will, and our mind.)
2.the person who is ‘contrite.’ To have a contrite heart, is to recognise our sinfulness and brokenness. It is to hit rock bottom within us, only to come to an understanding, that only GOD and following His way, can truly change things in your life. To reach the point of being crushed, bruised, broken within yourself. When you have reached rock bottom in our being and life, the only way is up. How can we do this?
We need to be humble and teachable.
Are you ready to be forgiven? Are you ready to be healed? Are your ready to be transformed? Then what’s stopping you? Let us stop giving Satan permission to steal, kill and destroy our life and give the best sacrifice we could ever give to GOD.
Ourselves.
During your prayer and fasting this week:
Ask the Lord to help us to willingly give ourselves fully to Him, so that we can live the lives we were meant to, in Him. In order for His Kingdom to come, and His will to be done, on Earth, as it is done in Heaven.
Pray: asking Jesus to give you the courage to pray for people you know, who could do with knowing Jesus the Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Ask Jesus to give you the courage and the right words, and time, to ask the person if they would like to have a true relationship with the one who gave the ultimate sacrifice for them, so that they might choose life, and live life via Jesus the Christ.
