Fear God More Than Man

Those who endure opposition in this world can be comforted by the fact that they belong to the world to come.

Have you ever been teased or mocked because of your faith? I think we’ve all been there at one time or another. Whether it’s unbelievers who make fun of us for believing in God or even fellow Christians who have smirked at us when we choose to trust God’s Word over what we can see. Isn’t that how people treated Noah when he took a step of faith and built the ark when there was no promise of rain? And through him a new nation of people was build.

Miracles performed by Jesus which were witnessed by so many, who then through word of mouth gave people hope of healing. Many came from many parts of the world to hear Jesus speak and believed that even just through a touch they can be healed.

When we were children, we hoped and trusted our parents that they will always care for us, feed us and be there for us. When you are grown the same faith that God will do the same is what keeps that bond growing. Knowing God will provide and care for us. Trusting God in every circumstance; and to believe God will reward those who seek Him, regardless of who says otherwise.

“Walking by faith” means living a life in light of eternal consequences. Walking by faith is to fear God more than man. Obeying the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands. Choosing righteousness over sin, no matter what the cost.

Rather than loving the things of this world Christians should spend their lives glorifying God in everything they do. It requires faith to live this way because we cannot see, hear, or touch anything spiritual.

The Prayer and Fasting Devotion : Take the Limits off God; "Walk by Faith and make by Sight"

Hebrews 11:7 says, “By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.”
