Safeguarding at NGC
All organisations that work with or come into contact with children and vulnerable adults should have safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure that everyone has a right to equal protection from harm.
Setting up and following good safeguarding policies and procedures means children and vulnerable adults are safe from other adults and children who might pose a risk.
The goal of this page is to facilitate the safeguarding vulnerable children & adults refresher and clarify the safeguarding protocols and guidance in place for NGC.
Safeguarding means protecting an individual's right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
It is about people and organisations working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect, while at the same time making sure that the individual's wellbeing is promoted including, where possible, having regard to their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs when deciding on any action.
